Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Ebonie Rosina Dixson, 32 (DOB: 7/29/84), of Highland Park, has been charged in connection with a non-fatal shooting incident. On September 30, 2016 at 6:45 p.m. at a home in the 17800 block of Fleming in Detroit, the defendant was removing her personal belongings from the location with her 28-year-old brother when she had a verbal argument with the 27-year-old woman who lived in the home. The defendant, who is employed as a security guard, was dressed in her uniform when she is alleged to have taken her weapon out of the holster, pointed it at her brother and the woman, and fired the gun three times into the air. No one was injured. The defendant drove away from the scene immediately after the incident.

On October 12, 2016, Dixson was charged with two counts of Felonious Assault and one count of Felony Firearm and placed under arrest at approximately 5:00 p.m. by Detroit police officers. She was arraigned yesterday morning before Magistrate Charles Anderson in 36th District Court. The probable cause conference is scheduled for October 20, 2016 at 8:30 a.m.; the preliminary examination is scheduled for October 26, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. Both hearings are before Judge Lydia Nance Adams in 36th District Court. The defendant received a $50,000/10% bond.
