Detroit Man Charged in Braille Street Homicide
Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Willie Lawrence Wilborn, 29 (DOB: 04/18/1988), of Detroit, in connection with the homicide of LaDiamond Myers, 24, also of Detroit. Dunng the evening of June 28, 2017, Wilborn and the victim had a domestic dispute in their home located in the 15400 block of Braille Street, where it is alleged that Wilborn used blunt force to the head of Ms. Myers On June 29, 2017 at 9:06 p.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to a vacant house, also located in the 15400 block of Braille, where they discovered the lifeless body of the victim.
Wilbom has been charged with First Degree Murder*. He was arraigned this aftemoon before 36th District Coun Magistrate Millicent Sherman. The probable cause conference is scheduled for July 19, 2017 at 8:30 a.m.; the preliminary examination is scheduled for July 26, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. Both hearings are before 36th District Court Judge Kenneth King.
*The charges are allegations and defendants are presumed Innocent unti and unless proven guilty
