Bassel Saad - Defendant charged with Second Degree Murder in connection with a fatal assault on a referee at an adult soccer game. Today a new special pre-trial date of October 24, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. was given by Judge Cynthia Hathaway at the request of the defense because attorney Cyril Hall was recently retained.

Former Romulus Police Chief Michael St. Andre - Today the defendant was sentenced to five years to 20 years for one count of Embezzlement by a Public Official and Misconduct in Office, five to 10 years for Conspiracy to Commit a Continuing Criminal Enterprise, and two to five years for Misconduct in Office; all of the counts are concurrent to each other.

Ali Mohamed Elatrache - Defendant charged with forcing his way into his girlfriend's elderly father's home in Inkster, strangling him and stealing his personal property. Today he was found guilty of felony murder and second degree murder. The sentence hearing will be held at 9:00 a.m. on November 3, 2014 before Judge Timothy Kenny.
