Sharnea McCoy and Erica Osburn - Defendants charged with the fatal shooting of Reginald R. Robinson outside of a party store in Detroit. The final conference is being adjourned from tomorrow until August 25, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. before Judge Ulysses Boykin.

Lillian Roberts - On November 18, 2016 Defendant Roberts pleaded guilty to Second Degree Murder and Unlawful Imprisonment in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a 13-year-old Deontae Mitchell that occurred at a Detroit party store. On Friday, August 18, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. the court will hear the defendant's Motion to Withdraw her plea in the case.

Roberts asserts that she was advised by her defense counsel her unlawful imprisonment conviction would not result in having to register as a sex offender under the SORA. WCPO agrees that a plea to Unlawful Imprisonment in fact does have a SORA registration requirement that she was denied the effective assistance of counsel, and as a result she should be allowed to withdraw her plea on this basis. An update will be sent out after the hearing tomorrow.

Lillian Roberts - On November 18, 2016 Defendant Roberts pleaded guilty to Second Degree Murder and Unlawful Imprisonment in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a 13-year-old Deontae Mitchell that occurred at a Detroit party store. On Friday, August 18, 2017 at 9:00 a.m., the court will hear the defendant's Motion to Withdraw her plea in the case.

Roberts asserted that her attorney incorrectly advised her that her Unlawful Imprisonment conviction would not result in having to register as a sex offender under the SORA. Today Judge Michael Hathaway denied Ms. Robert's request to withdraw her plea to Second Degree Murder. He did vacate her conviction for Unlawful imprisonment because she was not notified of the SORA requirements for that charge.
