Chelsa Wagner - Pittsburgh Controller charged with Resisting and Obstructing the Police and Disorderly Conduct. The Final Conference date scheduled for Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. has been adjourned until July 9, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. because the court is currently in trial.

Detroit Man Charged in Carlisle Street Fatal Beating

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Andre Lamont Cockerham, Jr., 24, (DOB: 05/30/1995), of Detroit, in connection with the fatal beating of Andre Buford, Sr., 44, also of Detroit.

On November 3, 2018, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to the 16900 block of Carlisle Street. Upon arrival, the officers found the victim's lifeless body inside the residence. Medics arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

It is alleged that the defendant fatally beat the victim and robbed him. Investigation by the Detroit police led to the arrest of the defendant. Further facts and evidence will be presented at the Preliminary Examination.

Cockerham has been charged with First Degree Murder, Felony Murder, Armed Robbery and Unlawful Driving Away of an Automobile.* He was arraigned and remanded to jail this morning before 36th District Court Magistrate Millicent Sherman. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for July 3, 2019 at 8:30 a.m.; the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for July 10, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. Both Hearings are before Judge Lynise Bryant. A photograph of the defendant is attached.

Deangelo Kenneth Martin, 34 (DOB: 05/30/1985) - Detroit man charged in connection with a sexual assault of a 26-year-old Detroit woman. On May 7, 2019, at 1:40 a.m., at a house on the eastside of Detroit, it is alleged that Martin stabbed and sexually assaulted the victim. Martin has been charged with one count of Assault with Intent to Murder and four counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct First Degree. Today Martin had his Probable Cause Conference. His Preliminary Examination has been scheduled for July 16, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Martin is represented by defense attorney Wyatt Harris.

Two Detroiters Charged in University Place Murder

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Dangelo Darnell Dukes, 25 (DOB: 05/05/1994), and Dejah Diane Hogan, 26, (DOB: 06/12/1993), both of Detroit, in connection with the fatal shooting of Arthur Reed Boyle, 62, also of Detroit.

On June 13, 2019 at approximately 5:40 p.m., Detroit Police were contacted about a wellness check in the 4800 block of University Place. Upon arrival, police officers were met by relatives of the victim who had been contacted when the victim did not show up for work. The officers discovered the lifeless body of the victim in the basement of the residence.

Investigation by the Detroit Police led to the arrest of the defendants. Facts and evidence of the case will be presented at the Preliminary Examination.

Dukes has been charged with Felony Murder, Home Invasion, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and three counts of Felony Firearm.* Defendant Dukes is expected to be arraigned sometime this afternoon in 36th District Court.

Defendant Hogan has been charged with Felony Murder.* She was arraigned this morning before 36th District Court Magistrate Jeffrey Kleparek. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for July 5, 2019; the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for July 12, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Both hearings are before Judge Ronald Giles in 36th District Court.
