Floyd Russell Galloway, Jr. - (DOB: 01/23/1987) - Charged in connection with the September 4, 2017 attack of a 28-year-old female jogger in Edward Hines Park in Livonia. The Livonia Police Department is handling press communications for this case. Chief Curtis Caid has confirmed that there will be an arraignment for Defendant Galloway this morning before Judge Kathleen McCann at 10:00 a.m. in 16th District Court in Livonia. Galloway has been charged with Kidnapping, Criminal Sexual Conduct - Assault with Intent to Commit Penetration and Assault with Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm by Strangulation*.

*The charges are allegations and defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

James Lee Saltmarshall - Mr. Saltmarshall was charged with Felony Murder, Child Abuse First Degree and Criminal Sexual Conduct First Degree in connection the April 23, 2017 death of his eight-month-old infant daughter at a hotel on Michigan Avenue in Inkster. He was arraigned on the charges on April 26, 2017. On April 27, 2017, based upon an ongoing investigation and the need for further forensic testing, WCPO requested a personal bond and a GPS tether for Mr. Saltmarshall.
After an extensive investigation and based upon the June 16, 2017 report from the Wayne County Medical Examiner, it has been determined that the cause of death of the child was asphyxia and

the manner of death was determined to be an accident. Mr. Saltmarshall and his daughter were determined to have slept adjacent to each other on an adult sized bed and upon waking, Mr. Saltmarshall found the child unresponsive. Today WCPO moved to have the case dismissed in the best interests of justice. The motion was granted by Judge Sabrina Johnson
