On Aug 15, 2018, Treasurer Sabree and staff attended the Grand Re-Opening of Kroger in Lincoln Park. Kroger's executive management along with elected officials joined in on the celebration of the remodeled 63,000-square-foot store located at 2060 Dix Ave. Lincoln Park Mayor Tom Karnes gave remarks.

"We're stronger than we were seven years ago. I think that our future is bright and the thing that makes it brighter still is our partnership with Kroger," he expressed. "We appreciate you guys being here. We look forward to all the things we can accomplish together."

Treasurer Sabree also shared his excitement and what it means for Wayne County.

"It's very important for the economic development of our county to see this happening and we are very happy to be here," he explained. "Lincoln Park is recovering from a downturn in the economy and this is a great store, a great investment by Kroger. The employees are all working and the community is happy that the store is fully stocked. They did a fantastic job."
