The Wayne County Treasurer's Office held its 2nd Annual Veterans Resource Fair at the Northwest Activities Center on November 8, 2018. The event ran from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The primary purpose of this event is to educate, engage and empower veterans of the resources and services that are available.

The event began with a short prayer followed by the presentation of colors ceremony. Three United States Army veterans marched into the room, each carrying a flag. They placed the flags on a pedestal at the front of the room and saluted.

Master of ceremony for the event was Commander Tyrone Chapman.

Speakers present include Councilman Roy McAllister and many others.

Treasurer Sabree also spoke during the event about veteran's services and foreclosures.

The sponsors for the event were First Independence Bank and Health Alliance Plan (HAP).
