Cass Benton

Cass Benton, one of the oldest and more hilly areas of Hines Park, has been popular since the 1920's when it was gifted to the Park Trustees by Cassius Benton, a former Wayne County Road Commissioner.

This picnic area is nestled under some of the largest beech and oak trees found in the park. It offers a park shelter, which can hold over 100 peole and a play structure.

The historic comfort station is a beautiful Tudor structure with slate-covered gables and oak lintels. During the winter months, Cass Benton hill is very popular spot for sledding. There is also an 18 hole disc golf course at Cass Benton Park.
