Criminal Division

The Criminal Finance Division of the Wayne County Clerk's Office (also known as the Frank Murphy Bond Office) is located in Room 102 of the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice at 1441 St. Antoine, Detroit, MI 48226.

The purpose of this office is to receive and disburse all court-ordered payments relative to Third Circuit Court Criminal cases. This division is responsible for the proper accounting and reporting of all collections, as well as relative disbursements to their respective departments, divisions and/or civil recipients (victims and/or probationers).

Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Contact the office directly at (313) 224-2503.

The Criminal Division of the Wayne County Clerk's Office collects fees and payments for the Third Circuit Court for the following:

  • Court Costs
  • Attorney Fees
  • Fines
  • Contempt Fines
  • Late Court Cost
  • Late Attorney Fees
  • Late Fines
  • 10% Bail Bond Postings (10% of the Full Amount of Court-Ordered Bail Amounts)
  • Cash Bail Bond Postings (Full Amount of Court-Ordered Bail Amounts)

The Criminal Division of the Wayne County Clerk's Office collects fees for the State of Michigan for the following:

  • Crime Victim Fees (90% of Total Collected Amounts)
  • State Minimum Costs
  • Forensic Fees (90% of Total Collected Amounts)

The Criminal Division of the Wayne County Clerk's Office collects fees for the County of Wayne for the following:

  • Crime Victim Fees (10% of Total Collected Amounts)
  • Forensic Fees (10% of Total Collected Amounts)
  • 10% Bond Administrative Fees
  • Bond Forfeitures

The Criminal Division of the Wayne County Clerk's Office collects payments for the following:

  • Victim Restitution Payments Ordered by the Third Circuit Court Relative to Criminal Cases
  • Criminal Case Over-payments and/or Refunds Received from Probationers
